1720mm Giant Tube Crossing: Goodeng Machinery GS12000-T Reaches the Pinnacle of Chinese Orienteering!

Recently, a monumental achievement destined to be recorded in the history of trenchless engineering in China and even the world was born on the land of Hebei. Led by the GS12000-T horizontal directional drilling rig, a "national heavyweight" under Goodeng Machinery, the key node of the Shahe Power Plant to Xianghe Street long-distance heating pipeline project successfully completed six consecutive crossings through complex terrain (pebbles + sand layers) for a heating pipeline with a maximum diameter of φ1720mm. The longest crossing section reached 521 meters!
The successful crossing of the φ1720mm pipeline is far more than just a numerical breakthrough. It signifies that my country now possesses a more advanced, efficient, and environmentally friendly construction solution for large-scale infrastructure projects such as long-distance heating, oil and gas pipelines, and integrated utility tunnels. It removes technical obstacles for traversing more complex geological conditions and laying larger-capacity municipal pipelines in the future, ushering in a new era for the development of ultra-large diameter underground spaces in China.
