φ400mm×530m Tube Crossing: Goodeng Machine GS1500-LS Appear in South America!
Record Broken! φ1720mm Giant Pipe Crossing, Goodeng Machine Sets a New Height for Directional Drilling in China – The GS12000-T ultra-large horizontal directional drilling rig completes six consecutive crossings, setting a new domestic record for the largest pipe diameter in horizontal directional drilling!
Recently, a feat destined to be recorded in the history of trenchless engineering in China and even the world was born in Hebei Province. Led by Goodeng Machine's "national heavy equipment"—the GS12000-T horizontal directional drilling rig—the project successfully completed six consecutive crossings of a φ1720mm ultra-large diameter heating pipeline through complex terrain (pebbles + sand layers), with the longest crossing reaching 521 meters! This milestone achievement has broken the domestic record for the largest diameter pipe crossed in horizontal directional drilling, pushing China's underground pipeline construction technology to an unprecedented new peak with its undeniable strength.
Pushing the limits, a φ1720mm diameter structure forms the "city's artery."
With the increasing severity of global warming and the explicit proposal of my country's "dual carbon" goals, traditional coal-fired heating is facing unprecedented challenges. The launch of the EPC project for the long-distance heating pipeline from Shahe Power Plant to Xianghe Street is a concrete practice in response to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction, and in promoting clean heating. By constructing an efficient and environmentally friendly long-distance heating pipeline network, the project will transport heat generated by Shahe Power Plant over long distances to multiple areas in Xingtai City, effectively reducing energy consumption and environmental pollution caused by decentralized heating, and achieving efficient energy utilization and optimized allocation.

This crossing project, with its enormous pipe diameter, complex process, and stringent requirements for continuous operation, is unprecedented in similar projects in China. The φ1720mm steel pipe, resembling a giant steel dragon, underwent a transformation far beyond simple size enlargement. It represented the ultimate test of the drilling rig's pullback force, mud ratio, guiding accuracy, borehole formation stability, and the limits of the entire process control system.

Along the traverse route, the Goodeng GS12000-T, this "drilling rig aircraft carrier," demonstrated absolute dominance. Its astonishing 1200-ton pullback force provided immense power for the smooth and precise drilling of this "urban thermal energy artery." Under complex geological conditions, the rig, with rock-solid stability, maneuvered the giant pipe like a highly skilled surgeon, flawlessly completing six consecutive "needle-threading" maneuvers, perfectly embodying the wisdom and strength of "master craftsmen."
Goodeng's powerful tools uphold the glory of "Made in China"
Behind this record lies absolute technological strength. The Goodeng Machine GS12000-T horizontal directional drilling rig, as the core equipment of this historic traverse, was undoubtedly the brightest star of the event. As the largest domestically developed horizontal directional drilling rig at the time, it was a model of China's equipment manufacturing industry moving towards high-end and overcoming "bottleneck" technologies. Its powerful output and excellent adaptability to working conditions ensured that it could still handle heavy loads with ease and without any mistakes when challenging extreme parameters.
The successful crossing of the φ1720mm pipeline is far more than just a numerical breakthrough. It signifies that my country now possesses a more advanced, efficient, and environmentally friendly construction solution for large-scale infrastructure projects such as long-distance heating, oil and gas pipelines, and integrated utility tunnels. It removes technical obstacles for traversing more complex geological conditions and laying larger-capacity municipal pipelines in the future, ushering in a new era for the development of ultra-large diameter underground spaces in China.

"In a race of a hundred boats, those that paddle hardest win; in a competition of a thousand sails, those that forge ahead bravely prevail." With this breathtaking traverse, Goodeng Machine once again proves its leading position in the trenchless engineering field. This is not only a glory for Goodeng Machine, but also a glory for China's infrastructure! It tells the world in a magnificent way: in the hands of Chinese builders, any miracle can be achieved, and any record can be surpassed!

We believe that this φ1720mm steel dragon buried deep underground will not only bring warmth to thousands of households, but also inject a surge of powerful momentum into China's grand journey from an "infrastructure powerhouse" to an "infrastructure superpower"!
